About Us

We seek to empower our clients with a toolkit of products/services that optimize soil and plant health through the implementation of science-driven solutions. We focus on functional strategies that bolster soil fertility and beneficial biology leading to the growth of healthy plants that are resilient to pest, disease, and climate pressures. Our approach quantifies all parts of the agricultural process so precision-guided decisions can be made which maximize quality/yield while minimizing inputs, waste, and crop loss. We believe “that the proof is in the soil” and that maintaining its health is paramount to agricultural success.

Challenges Facing Producers

Challenges Facing Producers

The majority of agricultural producers worldwide are using suboptimal cultivation techniques that lead to detrimental economic and environmental outcomes. Growers of all types from non-organic to organic are operating with informational deficiencies. Poor insight and lack of data quickly translate into crop loss and resource depletion. Without a complete picture of plant health and the agricultural process, operators are forced to make managerial decisions in “the dark” that present consequences downstream throughout production. In absence of complete soil fertility and biological quantification, inputs are over/underapplied, disease and pest proliferate, and water is wasted. Producer risk is evaluated along with exposure to volatile supplier pricing, market demand, supply chain disruptions, and government policy.

Poor soil management leads to:

• Nutrient/Phytochemical deficient crops
• Decreased water retention/aquifer recharge
• Soil salinization
• Weakened plant immunity
• Proliferation of harmful biology/pests
• Loss of biodiversity
• Increased financial expenditure
• Greater labor requirements
• Anaerobic soil conditions/lowered oxygen

Solution

Solution

Swiss Soil GmbH utilizes various solutions which optimize soil biology and fertility. We have identified quantifiable targets for soil chemistry and biology which lead to the best production outcomes. We believe that disease/pests cannot proliferate in the presence of aerobic and minerally balanced soil. These targets can be obtained using qualified methods that correct mineral and biological imbalances. To maintain our cutting-edge, we continue to incorporate the most advanced research, technology, and products into our practice.

Analytical Testing

Analytical Testing

We use a multitude of analytical assessments to verify that KPIs are achieved and harmful outcomes are avoided. Microscopy assays are conducted on soil samples to identify organism groupings whose presence can be beneficial or detrimental. These assessments can then be used to steer biology towards ratios that are best suited for a specific crop and mitigate disease/pest pressure. They can also provide insight into soil oxygen and moisture content so that irrigation rates can be accurately calibrated. We quantify soil chemistry using Mehlich-3, Basic Soil, and Saturated Paste tests. Tissue Sap analysis is then conducted on crops throughout cultivation to ensure amble nutrient uptake has occurred.

Biologically Complete Inoculation / Compost Extract

Biologically Complete Inoculation / Compost Extract

We drive beneficial soil biology through the inoculation of biologically complete compost extract. Biologically complete refers to compost that has been produced using oxygenated processes which select for the proliferation of beneficial aerobic microorganisms. Biodiversity can be further promoted and preserved through the introduction of soil samples collected in native ecosystems. This compost is then quantified under the microscope to ensure that it meets biological benchmarks and minimums outlined by scientific frameworks.

Custom Feed Formulations

Custom Feed Formulations

After establishing baseline fertiltiy through analytical testing we provide our clients with custom feed formulations to obtain full fertility targets in a specific crop. These formulations are taliored to optimize growth and overall yield throughout each phase of the plant life cycle. Our inputs are regeneratively produced and sustainably sourced, easing supply chain volatility/pricing fluctuation. Being carbon-based and salt/heavy-metal free they can be sprayed directly on foliage or fertigated into soil for rapid bioavailability and correction of mineral deficiencies.

Soil Mineral Balancing

Soil Mineral Balancing

Plants require a wide range of macro/micronutrients in various proportions throughout their life cycles to build resilient cells and strong immune systems. Therefore, a full fertility approach that elemental bases is required for optimal crop development. Adequate NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium) must be supplied in combination with calcium, magnesium, boron, sulfur, and other trace minerals. We establish a fertility baseline with initial soil testing then calculate which nutrients/minerals and in what quantities need to be applied to balance soil chemistry and achieve nutritional targets. This approach maximizes yield while minimizing expenditure.
